Stop the Canterbury Health Cuts

Just days after Canterbury was rocked by another major earthquake the Government has said it plans to cut mental health funding in the region by $5.2 million.

There are thousands of young children in the region who have lived their entire lives with the aftermath of the earthquake. The trauma - the anxiety, the stress - doesn’t just go away. Taking the knife to services in Canterbury means these kids won’t have access to the help they need now, and into the future. People in Canterbury need more support, not less.

We can’t let that happen - add your name to the open letter to Health Minister Jonathan Coleman here.
