I'd like to hear from you.

As the Labour Leader, I'm always keen to hear your views.

Having worked in Iraq rebuilding schools, hospitals and communities, I know how important it is to involve those who are directly affected.

That's why I'd like to know how you feel the recovery in Christchurch is going two years after the first earthquake.

Below is a survey. I'd be grateful if you could spare a few moments to complete it.

If you need any help or information, please feel free to contact one of your local Labour MPs; their details are on the right.

Warm regards,

David Shearer
Leader of the Labour Party

Education

The Government has announced proposals to close 13 schools and merge a further 18. We all expect change but this has been devastating news for many. These schools have been a source of strength and stability for communities.

Recovery

Everyone agrees the scale of the recovery is huge, but many say the Government's approach has been too top-down in some areas while they haven't done enough to sort out EQC and insurers.
