It’s good to see Talley’s has been held to account for its latest breaches of employment law, says Labour’s Workplace Relations spokesperson Iain Lees-Galloway.
“Talley’s seem to believe the basic rights afforded to all New Zealanders who work for a living shouldn't apply to people who work for them.
“Talley’s has repeatedly broken employment law and it's good to see them brought to account once again.
“Talley’s need to get back to the bargaining table with their Affco workers and complete their collective agreement.
“Hard working New Zealanders don’t support Talley’s 19th century approach to employment relations. It's time for them to get over themselves and start working in good faith with their employees and their union.
“A fair day’s work for a fair day’s pay is part of the Kiwi dream. Talley’s should understand that,” says Iain Lees-Galloway.
