Nobody wants Tony Ryall’s top job
After 5 months and numerous attempts at advertising, the director general of Health still has no successor, Labour’s Health spokesperson, Ruth Dyson said today.
“The health sector and broader public sectors have expressed concern at the low level of interest in the job.
“So why is no one putting up their hand to be Tony Ryall’s right hand man?
“This is a clear indication that those leading New Zealand’s health sector have no confidence in Tony Ryall or his vision for the future of New Zealand’s health system.
“It seems as if the State Services commission is going to have to be content with getting a person for the job, instead of the best person for the job. Such a result is disappointing,” said Ruth Dyson.
