Media Statement: Free off-peak travel for SuperGold Card holders

More than 500,000 SuperGold Card holders across New Zealand, including all those living in the Wellington Region, will be eligible for free off-peak public transport travel from next week, Labour List MP Charles Chauvel said today.

The Government is providing funding of $72 million over four years ($18 million a year) for the SuperGold Card free off-peak travel scheme for card holders.

Media Release: Carter opens new classroom at Korokoro

A new classroom at Korokoro School was officially opened today by Education Minister Chris Carter and Wellington List MP Charles Chauvel.

The classroom has been built to account for roll growth at Korokoro School, a decile 10, full primary school with an existing roll of around 131. The total cost of the project was $182,310.
