Savings for SuperGold Card holders

Two significant savings will be added to the SuperGold Card on 1 October which will help seniors in Kapiti and Horowhenua, according to Otaki MP Darren Hughes.

New members join Advisory Committee on Official Statistics

Statistics Minister Darren Hughes announced today that four new members have joined the Advisory Committee on Official Statistics (ACOS). They are Dr Colin Tukuitonga (Chief Executive - Ministry of Pacific Island Affairs), Ria Earp (Chief Executive Officer - Mary Potter Hospice), Professor Alan Lee (Professor of Statistics - Auckland University) and Rob Davison (Executive Director - Economic Service Meat and Wool New Zealand).
ACOS is an independent body with a mandate to provide the Minister with advice on key official statistics produced by government. The committee is chaired by Hon David Caygill, Chair of the Electricity Commission and Associate Commerce Commissioner.
