Tizard welcomes regional fuel levy

Auckland Central MP Judith Tizard has welcomed the announcement that a range of significant Auckland transport projects, such as Auckland passenger rail electrification, have been given the green light by government's decision to approve Auckland's regional fuel levy scheme.
"It is great to see that these important projects, that are so vital for Auckland's future, have got the go ahead," said Judith Tizard.

Tizard launches campaign for Auckland Central

Labour Party candidate and current Auckland Central MP Judith Tizard launched her candidacy for the Auckland Central electorate at Caluzzi Café and Bar in Newton today.
Judith marked the day by launching her campaign website www.tizard.org.nz.
The MP said that as a life-long Aucklander and MP for Auckland Central since 1996, she knew that Auckland is and must continue to be a great place to live and work.

Mobile library saved by seniors, on seniors da

MP for Auckland Central Judith Tizard congratulated Auckland City Council's Community Services Committee for coming to their senses and voting to keep mobile library services.
A petition signed by 288 concerned senior citizens who ardently supported the continuation of the service was put to the committee today.
Because of their importance to the community, Judith Tizard has long opposed the cutting of library services.
