It's time to Meet the Locals in the Waikato

Local MP Martin Gallagher is encouraging all the people of the Waikato to get out and experience New Zealand’s amazing wildlife as part of Conservation Week 2008.

Martin Gallagher, MP for Hamilton West, welcomes Safety Week this week. Safety Week is part of the ongoing ACC campaign to educate New Zealanders about the risks in the home and encourage us all to think about taking some, often quite basic safety steps to prevent accidents.
"Most people feel safest in their homes - but the reality is actually far different with the latest statistics showing home is the most common place for New Zealanders to be injured" said Mr Gallagher.

Labour’s Hamilton MPs are pledging to advocate for government funding to re-establish a commuter train service to Auckland in Labour’s fourth term in government. Nanaia Mahuta, Martin Gallagher and Sue Moroney are joining forces to lobby for the train service now that their government has purchased rail assets and launched KiwiRail.
