Matawananga Kapa Haka event

Tainui MP Nanaia Mahuta said Te Waananga o Aotearoa's Matawananga kapa haka event which starts today at the Apakura Campus in Te Awamutu, is a great way for whanaau to gather and celebrate.

Bill to improve rights of young workers welcomed

Tainui MP Nanaia Mahuta is congratulating Labour MP Darien Fenton on a new members' bill which aims to protect young workers.
The Employment Relations (Protection of Young Workers) Amendment Bill ensures all workers aged 15 and under must be employed on employment agreements under the Employment Relations Act 2000 and cannot be independent or dependent contractors.
