National already breaking promises on climate change

National leader John Key's u-turn on the Emissions Trading Scheme is his first broken promise, the outgoing Minister for Climate Change Issues David Parker said today.

Emmissions trading OK for growth

A report released today by the Australian government has confirmed that a country's economy will continue to grow with an emissions trading scheme, and it's cheaper to act sooner rather than later, says Climate Change Minister David Parkerccc.
"Analysis done for the New Zealand government came to the same conclusion," David Parker said. "Our economy will continue to grow while we reduce our greenhouse gas emissions, but the growth rate will be slightly less than it would have been - around 0.1 percent.
