National Returns to its Dark Past on Health

Nats endorsement of DHB system welcomed

Minister of Health David Cunliffe said he was pleased that after criticising the DHB system for so many years National had now moved to defend the system.
Mr Cunliffe today dismissed National Party claims of District Health Board amalgamation, but thanked them for endorsing the system of local community representation brought in under this Government.

Reassurance for NZ hairdressers

Health Minister David Cunliffe today met with the nation's hairdressers and made it clear that the Public Health Bill will not mean any changes in the way they will do their business.
"I was happy to tell the hairdressers that nothing changes as of the bills enactment and I promised that I will write to them to confirm that."
