13 May 2008 Western LeaderLetter to the EditorE-mail: wlletters@snl.co.nz Dear Editor On Sunday I had the fantastic opportunity to attend the 2008 O League Final: Waitakere United vs. Kossa FC. It was a great game – with a 5 nil win to Waitakere United. This means they go forward to the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan later this year. I was very pleased to see such a great turn of Westies to support our home team, especially the vast number of families in crowd. The stands were packed. The game was not only an opportunity to show case our fantastic team but also our new first class field. I wish to pay special tribute to Chris Milichich who has coached the team in the lead up to the game and Captain Danny Hay who has helped unite the team into a force to be reckoned with. Roll on the final in Japan Kind regards
