Rob is the manager of White Ribbon, the campaign to end men’s violence towards women, and works to help change attitudes and behaviour, both on the Kapiti Coast and throughout New Zealand. His role involves organising hundreds of events and media interviews each year, culminating in the high-profile annual nationwide campaign.
As well as having a law degree, Rob has previous experience as a Parliamentary press secretary and has an extensive background in events management. He volunteers his time locally as a board member for Kapiti Living Without Violence, and he chairs the Kenakena School Parent Network.
Rob’s focus is to work for a more compassionate and equitable society, and he knows just how important it is to ensure that we all have access to the Kiwi Dream. That means better investment and outcomes for our children, and policies that support the regions.
In the electorate with the highest proportion of senior citizens, he believes it is vital for the Government to ensure that people are provided with the healthcare and support that allows them to stay in their own homes, to see a doctor and to be accorded the dignity they deserve after a lifetime of work.
Rob and his partner Jo, who is a primary school teacher, live just north of Paraparaumu in Otaihanga with their two boys, Robbie (13) and Oliver (9).
