Campaign Launch - Tamati Coffey

Tamati_launch_1.png

Call us fresh, call us naive, call us whatever you want, but that morning of the Labour Party launch, you could definitely call us, excited!

It was a 21st-Century-drive, up to Auckland. Most people in the car had smartphones so their heads were down most of the time. There were still fights over control of the music, toilet stops, drink stops and the occassional ' are we there yet?'.

Fighting for the underdog

Rachel_Jones.jpg

My name is Rachel Jones and I am the Labour Party candidate for Tauranga.

Politics was a private affair in my family. I never knew how my parents voted and we didn’t really talk about politics at the dinner table.

It wasn’t until I went to university that I became politically aware.

Hoardings 101

meka_2.png

Over two days, my whanau, supporters and I undertook an epic mission to erect our election hoardings and corflutes from Muriwai, south of Gisborne up to Te Araroa, at the north of the Ikaroa-Rāwhiti electorate.
