I’ve built a successful business working closely with some of New Zealand’s most senior leaders on serious issues. I'm standing so I can take that experience and ensure Napier has a strong local voice in Parliament.

Mark Hutchinson grew up in Taradale, before attending Otago University and embarking on his initial career as a clinical psychologist in New Zealand and the UK. He then moved into organisational development and leadership consulting, with over 20 years’ experience working with boards, chief executives, and senior leadership teams to drive performance.

Since returning to New Zealand in 2009, Mark has consulted across a range of industries with clients such as Trustpower, Fonterra, Chorus, NZ Post, Waka Kotahi, and Fletcher Building. In 2016 he formed his own successful consultancy and understands the challenges of leading and running a business from the regions.

Mark knows that communities in Napier and across Hawke's Bay have a long road to recovery following the impacts of Cyclone Gabrielle and it's critical now to have a Member of Parliament with the experience and track record to get things done.

Mark Hutchinson says he has seen first-hand how Napier has benefitted from a Labour Government and is going to work hard to earn the privilege of being a relentless advocate for Napier to ensure the Government delivers for its people and communities.
