The Labour Party will be celebrating their 100th anniversary in July, and as New Zealand’s oldest political party it has a proud progressive tradition that continues to this day.
Historians Peter Franks and Jim McAloon have examined the fortunes (and misfortunes) of the New Zealand Labour Party. They are the authors of a new ground breaking history which goes into great detail of the Labour Party – from its rise to power in the 1930s, to the Kirk and Rowling years of the 70s, Lange in the 80s, Clark in the 90s right through to the present day.
Join the two historians as they reveal their findings and revelations at Wellington Museum.
