Ko Peeni Ereatara Gladwyn Henare ahau. Nō Te Aupouri, Ngāti Kahu, Ngāti Hine, Ngāti Manu, Te Kapotai, Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Whātua, Te Whakatōhea, Rongowhakaata me Ngāti Kahungunu.
Peeni Henare has proudly served as a Member of Parliament for nine years and a Minister for six years.
Positive gains have been made in all areas to improve the health and social wellbeing of Māori across Aotearoa and in Tāmaki Makaurau. Prior to politics Peeni worked as a businessman, public servant, broadcaster and teacher.
He lives in Mt Wellington, Tāmaki Makaurau with his partner, Skye Kimura.
