I am Rachel Brooking and I am the Labour Party candidate for the Dunedin electorate in the 2023 General Election.

Since the 2020 election I have worked hard as a Labour List MP and have supported the wider Otago area.

I have lived and worked in Dunedin nearly all of my life, attending kindergarten through to secondary school here, and graduating from the University of Otago. I have worked the majority of my professional career in Dunedin and have 20 years experience as a resource management and local government lawyer. I understand business, the community, the environment, and good governance.

I am married to cancer specialist and campaigner Prof Chris Jackson, and together we have raised our family of three children here.
