The New Zealand Labour Party is required by law to keep records of all donors and donations. This information is kept private unless public disclosure is required by the Electoral Act.
Any citizen, voter, organisation or company of New Zealand can donate up to $5,000 per calendar year to Labour without having their details publicly disclosed. These people can donate more than $5,000 per calendar year but their name and amount donated will be publicly disclosed.
Please also note, New Zealand political parties cannot accept donations exceeding $50 from individuals who reside outside New Zealand and are neither a New Zealand citizen nor a registered elector.
Donations to political parties are not tax deductible in New Zealand.
Refunds will be provided at the discretion of the New Zealand Labour Party.
