He’s worked inside the system, helping shape government policy, and outside the system, exposing bad decisions and poor economic choices.

As the Economist and Director of Policy at the Council of Trade Unions, Craig has spent years standing up for working people. Fighting for fair wages, decent jobs, and smart investment in the public services we all rely on.

Craig’s values come from his background. He grew up in a region torn apart when the UK government walked away from industries and working communities. He saw first hand the damage that this neglect caused, but also how powerful it is when people stand together to rebuild. He knows what happens when communities are left behind, and he now works relentlessly to make sure we stop that from happening here.

As the MP for Wellington Bays, Craig will fight for decent wages and secure jobs so that families can thrive. Craig will work to deliver affordable housing that gives everyone a chance to own or rent a good home. He will make sure that we have public services that work for you, including health, education, and transport.

Craig is passionate about tackling child poverty and its causes and making sure that children and their families have support when they need it. Craig recognises that Wellington Bays needs stronger action on climate and resilience, including investment in clean energy and stronger infrastructure.
