"From caring for our community as a Medical Doctor to standing up for them in Parliament — I’m here to serve Botany.
I’m standing as Labour’s candidate for Botany because I believe our community deserves strong, visible leadership that understands the real challenges people face every day.
As a specialist GP and clinical director, I’ve spent years working alongside families across South and East Auckland. In clinics, homes, and community spaces, I’ve seen first-hand the pressures people are under — from the rising cost of living to barriers accessing healthcare, housing stress, and the need for better support for our young people and elderly.
Botany is one of the most diverse and hardworking communities in Aotearoa. It is made up of families, small business owners, and cultures from across the world. This diversity is our strength, but it also means we need leadership that listens, connects, and advocates effectively for everyone.
My background in healthcare has shaped how I approach leadership: listen first, understand the issue properly, and then act decisively. I’m not afraid to tackle tough problems, and I’m focused on practical solutions — improving access to healthcare, affordable homes, supporting local businesses, strengthening education pathways, and making sure our community is safe and thriving.
I’ve also had the privilege of serving in local government and Parliament, where I learned how to navigate systems and deliver outcomes. I know how decisions are made — and more importantly, how to push for better ones.
This campaign is about people. It’s about making sure Botany has a representative who shows up, speaks up, and delivers.
I’m here to work hard, earn your trust, and be a strong voice for Botany.
