Auckland Central is an electorate defined by a unique duality, where the quiet, residential streets of Herne Bay and Westmere exist alongside the dense high-rises and constant energy of the city centre. From the bustling urban hubs of Karangahape Road and the Wynyard Quarter to the independent spirit of Waiheke and the Gulf Islands, this is a region that thrives on a complex mix of local community and global ambition.

I’m Naisi Chen, and my story is shaped by this electorate. This place bore witness to the most significant moments of my life long before the thought of representing it arose. It is where I studied, where I worked, and where I had my political awakening. My family arrived from Beijing in 1999, and it was the policies of that time - from the support that allowed for my piano lessons to the Prime Minister’s apology for the poll tax - that taught me I truly belonged here.

I'm standing because Auckland Central deserves a voice that understands both the history and the future being built together. The electorate is at a turning point. I am part of the generation leaving for overseas because they cannot find the opportunities they need. The effort to fight for a future here must be shown to be worthwhile. With a population where 50% were born overseas, the diversity of the area is its greatest strength.

My approach is grassroots. Whether it is mobilising young professionals and students or fighting for marine protection, real change happens when people connect. Having cut my teeth organising at the University of Auckland to make Albert Park safer, I know that when people organise, the status quo changes.

My vision is for an Auckland where people look after one another, where homelessness is ended by increasing housing supply and where creators do not have to choose between art and survival. I have the experience to navigate the halls of power, but my heart remains on these pavements. I am ready to work for Auckland Central.

奥克兰中央区不仅承载着新西兰最蓬勃的经济活力，它真正珍贵的力量，更来自生活于这片多元社区中的人们，以及大家共同塑造出的城市精神。这里既有 Herne Bay 与 Westmere 宁静宜人的社区街道，也有市中心高楼林立、充满节奏与能量的都市核心。从 Karangahape Road 与 Wynyard Quarter 繁忙而富有创造力的城市片区，到 Waiheke 与 Gulf Islands 所展现出的独立精神，这片土地始终因本地社区文化与全球化视野的交汇而焕发生机。
也正是新西兰长期以来对多元文化与移民社区的包容、尊重与接纳，让无数像我一样的移民家庭，真正找到了归属感与家的意义；而来自世界各地的人们，也正以自己的努力、创造力与奋斗精神，不断丰富着这座城市与这个国家的未来。
我是陈耐锶，而我的人生故事，也一直深深扎根于这里。
1999年，我的家人从北京来到新西兰。我在这里学习、成长、工作，也是在这里经历了自己的政治觉醒。那个时代的新西兰，无论是支持我学习钢琴、走进音乐世界，并最终有机会参与奥克兰爱乐乐团治理事务的公共资源与成长环境，还是时任总理就 “人头税（poll tax）” 所作出的正式道歉，都让我深刻感受到：这个国家愿意正视历史、尊重多元文化，也愿意让像我一样的移民家庭，真正找到归属感与家的意义。
正因如此，我始终相信，奥克兰中央区值得拥有一个既理解其历史，也真正理解大家正在共同建设未来的声音。
如今，这个选区正站在一个关键的转折点上。许多年轻人因为高昂的生活成本、有限的发展机会，以及对未来缺乏信心，而不得不选择离开、前往海外。一方面，我对此感到心痛，但我依然相信，通过我们的共同努力，每一个在奥克兰奋斗的人，都能够重新看见留下来的希望、安居乐业的可能，以及梦想得以实现的未来；看见这座城市不仅属于少数人，更真正属于每一个愿意在这里奋斗、扎根，并真心热爱它的人。
我所期待的奥克兰，是一个人们彼此照顾、彼此支持的城市；是一个通过增加住房供给、改善公共交通、推动更清洁与可持续能源发展，让生活成本逐步下降，让年轻人与普通家庭不再为生计所困的城市；也是一个无论出身如何，每一个普通家庭孩子都能够拥有追寻梦想的机会，并对未来保持信心的城市。
我也相信，一个更加理性、开放并坚持独立外交立场的新西兰，才能真正为普通家庭带来更稳定、更可负担的生活环境。对于像新西兰这样的“小国”而言，我们的安全、繁荣与未来，本就建立在稳定、公平、以相互尊重而非武力为基础的国际秩序之上，也建立在与世界各国长期、稳定且彼此信任的友谊与合作之上。对于许多与国际社会有着千丝万缕联系的家庭而言，这绝不仅仅是外交议题，更关系到就业、贸易、生意、教育以及下一代的未来。我始终相信，只有更加成熟、稳定、着眼于长期合作，并不被意识形态对立所裹挟的国际关系，才能真正实现互利共赢，并让更多新西兰家庭从中受益。
对待政治，我秉承一种扎根社区、稳接地气的公共参与方式。无论是在国会推动海洋保护议题，还是组织年轻专业人士与学生参与社区事务，我都深信，真正推动社会前行的力量，来自人与人之间真实而深刻的连接。我曾在奥克兰大学领导华人学生会，并通过组织各类活动积极参与社区事务，包括推进多种措施让Albert Park 更安全。我深刻明白：当人们真正团结起来并共同发声时，原本看似无法改变的现状，也终将被推动。作为一名前国会议员我懂得如何在制度与权力体系中推动改变，但我始终没有离开这片街道、这些社区、华人群体，以及普通人最真实的日常生活。
如今，我已经再次准备好，为奥克兰中央区全力以赴。
