"I’ll be a strong, constant advocate for our communities—someone who shows up, listens, and makes sure the Coast and Tasman are heard.
I’m a proud West Coaster, a teacher, and a husband and father of four. My family has deep roots on the Coast, and I grew up understanding both the opportunities and the challenges our communities face.
I joined Labour at 15 because I believed—and still believe—that government can make a real difference when it stands with working people. That belief has stayed with me ever since.
My working life has been about people. I’ve worked as a funeral director, a primary school teacher, a Deputy Principal, and in tertiary education. I’ve also spent over a decade in school governance and remain actively involved in local clubs and community groups.
Through that work, I’ve seen a simple truth: people can’t get ahead if their basic needs aren’t being met. Strong communities rely on secure jobs, good health care, and the chance for families to thrive.
As Labour’s candidate for West Coast–Tasman, I'll stand up for:
I’ll be a constant advocate for this electorate. I’ll show up, I’ll listen, and I’ll speak up—because our communities deserve a strong voice
