Tell Christopher Luxon to make healthcare affordable
It's time to act. For two years, Christopher Luxon's Government has cut healthcare and driven up costs.
Because of National’s underfunding, GPs are left with two options: increase fees for patients or close their doors.
Some GP fees are heading towards $100 a visit. One in six New Zealanders can't afford to see their doctor. Luxon is completely out of touch and has no plan to fix it.
This can't go on. Add your name to our open letter and tell Christopher Luxon: it's time to stop the cuts and take real action on the cost of healthcare.
Christopher Luxon,
Healthcare is becoming unaffordable under your watch.
A doctor’s visit can cost close to $100 - and even more for a longer appointment. One in six New Zealanders cannot afford to see a doctor when they are sick. X-rays, scans, prescriptions, and even ambulances all cost more because of your choices.
People are already struggling with the cost of living. Instead of helping, your government has made it worse - pushing bills higher and cutting jobs people rely on.
When people can't afford to see their doctor, they end up in busy hospital emergency departments - sicker and needing more expensive care.
Everyone deserves to get care when they need it, close to home. We need action now, not more excuses.
We need you to:
New Zealanders deserve better.
Labour will make it cheaper and easier to get care close to home, and make sure hospitals are there when you need them.
Update: Over 5000 people have signed — let’s make it 10,000.
