More buses to more places, improved bus reliability, keeping a lid on fares, more electric buses, lifting driver wages, new regional trains, replanting our regional parks, restoring our wetlands and cleaning up our waterways have been key focus areas during my current term as Chair of Greater Wellington Regional Council.
I will continue to improve public transport, lower fares (including fare caps), introduce full integrated ticketing, bring assets back under public control, and get a new water entity in place which serves us all better, while sinking a lid on rates increases.
I am committed to active community engagement for a vibrant and functioning Wellington. Climate change, water quality and infrastructure resilience remain high priorities.
I am an experienced Councillor with a strong background in problem solving. I have a background in resource management and public policy. I have a track record of bringing people together and delivering for Wellington.
