Nureddin Abdurahmann
Candidate for Paekawakawa/Southern Ward on Wellington City Council
Meet Nureddin Abdurahman
I’ve advocated for more affordable and social housing, supported the Living Wage and led the campaign against selling our stake in Wellington Airport.
I opposed corporate welfare for Reading Cinemas, voted against more money being spent on the Town Hall blowout, and stood up against closures and cuts to libraries, swimming pools and community centres.
Locally, I have worked with Ōwhiro Bay locals to stop the Council from moving the tip shop to a busy intersection near the local school, supported families by achieving zero car park loss at Wakefield Park as part of cycleway installation and am advocating for public toilets at Newtown’s Carrara Park.
I’m excited to be campaigning alongside Andrew Little to bring the change our council and our city needs.
